Photography Competition: \u201cHuman Rights. My Rights. Your Rights. Triggered!\u201d<\/p>\n

The Background<\/p>\n

The Nuremberg Center for Human Rights (N\u00fcrnberger Menschenrechtszentrum e.V. \u2013 NMRZ) advocates for human rights protection locally as well as nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n

In 2014 the photography competition \u201cHuman rights. My Rights. Your Rights. Triggered!\u201d was created in order to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the NMRZ.<\/p>\n

In 2016, the NMRZ invited people for the second time to give a photographic profile to human rights.<\/p>\n

Now in 2018, in occasion of the universal periodic review of Germany by the UN Human Rights Council, the focus will be on the protection and promotion of human rights inside the country and beyond.<\/p>\n

The Task<\/p>\n

Choose an article from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and interpret it through a series of photos (between 2 and 4), which have to be connected by the same line of thought.<\/p>\n

Send it by post on a digital data carrier (300 DPI \u2013 TIFF \u2013 Adobe-RGB \u2013 max. page length 80cm) as well as in printed A4 page format.<\/p>\n

Participants: The competition is directed to EVERYONE who is passionate about photography and is interested in issues concerning human rights.<\/p>\n

Deadline: the work can be sent at the NMRZ office until the 15th of January.<\/p>\n

By handing in their work, the participants agree to the publication, exposition and the non-commercial use of the pictures by the NMRZ and the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

Exhibition of the winning pictures: a selection of the winning pictures will be displayed at the KREIS Gallery in the Nuremberg\u00b4s Street of Human Rights as well as at the nice atrium of the Federal Foreign Affairs Office in Berlin.<\/p>\n
